Will King
Assistant Director
Mr. King is excited to be back at his Alma Mater as an Assistant Director in the percussion program. In addition to private teaching responsibilities, Mr. King techs the Front Ensemble, as well as conducting the Freshmen Ensemble and Senior High Concert Ensemble
Will King is a percussion/music educator based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Mt. Lebanon High School in 2015, Will studied Music Education at Indiana University. While at IUP, Mr. King studied with percussion professor Dr. Michael Kingan and performed in the university percussion ensembles, world ensemble, marching band, symphony band, and men’s chorus. In addition to his college performing and studies, Mr. King performed with the La Crosse Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps from 2016 to 2018. Will also served as the audio intern for the Blue Stars for their 2019 DCI tour. Mr. King graduated from IUP in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education. Since then Mr. King has taught high school percussion ensembles and indoor drumlines at Baldwin, Gateway, Upper St. Clair, and Mt. Lebanon. He currently teaches band at Chartiers Valley Middle School and High School.
