For our 37th
“An Evening of Percussion” Concert Series we were able to fully perform and record 18 different ensembles on our beloved Fine Arts Theater stage for the first time in
17 months.
The pandemic forced us to adjust how we provide performance opportunities to our students and how we share them with you all.
After our 4 days of recording sessions, we transitioned to a
LIVE outdoor concert in front of the Fine Arts Theater for the first time ever! Being able to play in front of a live audience safely was a joy filled exciting opportunity for the students that we will never forget!
FALL 2020
The pandemic forces us to adjust how we provide performance opportunities to our students and how we share them with you all.
For our winter concert, we celebrated 25 years of our Holiday Bells, Mallets, & Drums Concert Series with a FREE hour-long video that was watched by thousands!
We were again proud to be featured as the background music for the KDKA Free Care Fund Telethon. This year, with your help we raised $2,000, adding to our total of $24,000! Our donation was made in honor of alumni parent Jane Alcorn.
While we were unable to visit our favorite retirement communities this Holiday, our students wrote over 250 cards to the residents. We were also able to share our Holiday Video Celebration with hundreds of residents spanning every local residence we have performed at.
We are preparing for our 37th Annual “An Evening of Percussion” Concert Series. Our plans include a week-long recording session followed by a LIVE outdoor concert in front of the Fine Arts Theater!
Being able to play in front of a live audience safely is an exciting opportunity for the students that we are all looking forward to!
We are able to provide our yearly educational masterclasses again to our students throughout the district this semester due to your generosity!
SPRING 2020
Students across grades 4 through 12 continued to make music from their home during quarantine.

While the pandemic cancelled our annual Evening of Percussion Concert Series, we were able to highlight our 2020 Senior Class and presented them with a heartfelt video from many of our alumni!
Our staff has created a PERC101 video library as a supplement for our elementary curriculum that will join our already popular Enrichment Ensembles!
Our brand new website gives us the ability to share even more music and stories with the community and world!
Marching Band has continued with new health and safety guidelines. We are able to provide new performance opportunities for our students this fall and a sense of normalcy we are all missing.
