Mr. DeLuca is excited to join the Mt. Lebanon Percussion as its newest full time staff member. He has filled the positions of Cymbal Technician, and Front Ensemble Director for the past six years and recently joined us as a private instructor and director of the Elementary and Middle School Honors Ensembles. In addition to directing these ensembles, he also composes and arranges all the Front Ensemble music, personalizing the parts to the individual student.
Mr. DeLuca is a sought out arranger/composer for bands and percussion groups in the area. Whether it is full pit arrangements for bands, cymbal books for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, or wind band pieces, composing is one of his major passions. While at IUP, he created and implemented his own cymbal technique that is used widely around Western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
In addition to teaching at Mt. Lebanon, Jeremy had a very successful stint at Gateway High School in Monroeville Pennsylvania as one of the directors of the award winning Indoor Percussion program. Under his direction as one of the show designers and instructors, he helped Gateway become the TRWEA Champion 5 years (2005-2009) straight.
Mr. DeLuca is an Alumni of Mt. Lebanon High School, graduating in 2004. He has recently graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education with a focus in Percussion and Educational Psychology.
