Thomas Earley
Mr. Earley is an accomplshed musician in many styles of music including classical, rock and jazz. He studied Percussion Performance and Music Education at Carnegie Mellon University and Music Technology at Duquesne University.
Tom is an active percussionist in the Pittsburgh area. He has played with international musical groups such as the Celtic Tenors and The Platters. He has also played percussion for various local musical groups including the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, C.L.O. Cabaret, Pittsburgh Opera, the Pittsburgh Camerata, South Hills Chorale, McKeesport Symphony, the Pittsburgh Playhouse and the City Theater. Mr. Earley has served as a percussionist and musical director in numerous productions at the Playhouse. As a percussionist his credits include: On the Town, Anything Goes, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown and Charlotte's Web. Directoral highlights include: Hair, Brigadoon and Into the Woods for which he won a national award from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival for Meritorious Achievement.
Tom is currently on the Board of Directors for Music for Mt. Lebanon. He is also a music producer and the owner of Earley Productions. Tom has recorded commercials and albums that have been distributed throughout the country.
In addition, Mr. Earley is the Associate Director of Percussion for the Mt. Lebanon School District where he hepled co-found the percussion ensemble in 1984. During his tenure, Tom taught in the Keystone Oaks School District as the High School Marching Band Director and helped teach the Steel Drum Band. He also directed the Mt. Lebanon Jazz Band and was the Assistant Marching Band Director. Mr. Earley helped to develop and continues to teach many ensembles in the Mt. Lebanon School District.
