Middle School Honors Ensemble

The Middle School Honors Percussion Ensemble provides selected percussionists in grades 6-7 the opportunity for a concert percussion ensemble experience. The students perform on a wide variety of instruments including snare drum, keyboard percussion, timpani and accessories. In addition, the members of this ensemble have the benefit of working with a member of the Mt. Lebanon Percussion staff who serves as the director of the ensemble.

The Middle School Honors Percussion Ensemble rehearses once per week (usually Tuesday evenings for one hour) during the months of March, April and May. The ensemble then performs as part of the Mt. Lebanon Percussion's popular Evening of Percussion Concert Series in late May.

The members of this ensemble are selected from all of the current 6th and 7th grade percussionists. The Middle School Band Directors, in conjunction with the Mt. Lebanon Percussion staff, make the final selection of members. Students who are interested in performing with this ensemble should notify their respective Middle School Band Director as soon as possible. Selections are finalized during the month of January.
